Current vs requested

Show us what's currently displayed and what it should be.

The case starts with two values side by side. The requested value is what you believe is right — it's reviewed against your evidence and Amazon's rules, not assumed to be correct.

Requires review

Two different things

Brand name and Brand Registry are related, but not the same thing.

Listing brand attribute

The brand value shown on, or associated with, a catalog product.

Brand Registry

Amazon's separate brand-owner program, with its own eligibility, verification and tools.

Being enrolled in Brand Registry doesn't mean every catalog brand field can be changed instantly. AmzEngine doesn't control Brand Registry or its decisions, and this service doesn't include a Brand Registry application or appeal. For brand-level monitoring after the fix, see Brand Protection.

Common problems

Common brand-attribute problems

These look similar from the outside but aren't always solved the same way.

  • Misspelled brand
  • Incorrect spacing or punctuation
  • Legacy brand value
  • Brand displayed as Generic
  • Brand doesn't match the product or packaging
  • Brand Registry / catalog mismatch
  • Brand field locked
  • Error when submitting a new value
  • GTIN-brand mismatch

Important

Correcting an error is different from changing a product's brand.

Correction

The catalog contains an incorrect brand value, and supporting evidence shows what it should be.

Rebranding / material brand change

Moving an existing product from one brand identity to another can involve different catalog and policy considerations, and may not be appropriate as a simple attribute correction. An existing ASIN can't always be moved to an unrelated brand.

What if the listing currently says Generic?

Moving between Generic and a branded catalog identity can involve specific Amazon catalog requirements and documentation. The existing ASIN can't always be converted, so these cases start with a review of your situation.

Documentation

Documentation may determine what correction path is available.

What's actually needed depends on the issue — the specialist tells you which items matter.

  • Product packaging showing the brand
  • Product images
  • Trademark information
  • Brand Registry details
  • GS1 / GTIN records, where relevant
  • Manufacturer information
  • Invoices, where relevant
  • Previous Seller Support messages
  • Error screenshots

At intake we ask for: asin(s), current brand name, correct brand name, trademark / brand registry documentation, gs1 certificate if applicable.

AmzEngine will not create or alter documents.

No trademark certificates, GS1 certificates, invoices, packaging evidence, brand authorization letters or screenshots are made or edited to support a catalog correction.

Do I need a trademark?

A trademark can matter for Brand Registry or brand-ownership questions, but what a brand correction needs depends on the specific catalog issue. A trademark doesn't help a catalog change. Where legal interpretation is needed, qualified legal advice may be appropriate.

Brand and GTIN records may need to align.

Some conflicts involve the UPC / EAN / GTIN, brand data, GS1 records and existing Amazon catalog records together. AmzEngine doesn't verify GS1 records itself. If the core problem is the identifier, Catalog Repair is the better fit.

Process

How the AmzEngine Brand Name Fix service works.

  1. Enter the affected ASIN

And the marketplace it's listed in.

  2. Tell us the current brand value

Exactly as Amazon shows it today.

  3. Provide the intended brand

And why you believe it's right.

  4. Upload supporting documentation

    Packaging, images, brand records.

  5. Expert reviews the catalog issue

Why the value is wrong or won't change.

  6. Receive strategy and case guidance

The correction path and what to submit.

  7. Follow the appropriate Amazon process

    From your own account.

  8. Track follow-up in AmzEngine

Share Amazon's reply and continue within your package.

Intake

A short intake focused on the brand value.

These are the kinds of questions the case intake asks. "Not sure" is always a valid answer.

Already contacted Seller Support?

Reviewing earlier attempts helps avoid blindly repeating the same request. Share:

  • The case ID
  • What you requested
  • What Amazon replied
  • What evidence you supplied

We never ask for your Amazon password or Seller Central login.
