Why seller protection matters
Amazon listings don't stay static.
An Amazon product page is shared, live and constantly updated. Prices move as sellers reprice. New offers appear and old ones drop off. The Buy Box can rotate between sellers several times a day. Listing content can be edited by contributors other than you, and ratings and review counts shift as customers leave feedback.
On the account side, listing and account statuses can change and require a response — a policy notice, a suppressed listing or a performance metric moving out of range.
Most of these changes are ordinary. A few matter a great deal. The practical problem is noticing the important ones without checking every listing by hand, and having a clear record of what changed when you need to investigate or explain it to Amazon.

Amazon listings can be edited by more than one contributor, and catalog updates don't always come with a notice. Listing Protection records each observation, keeps the previous version and highlights exactly which fields moved.

Seller monitoring
An unfamiliar seller appeared. Know what changed before deciding what it means.
A new seller on your listing does not automatically mean hijacking, counterfeiting or infringement. It may be a reseller with genuine stock, a liquidator, or a partner you haven't added to your authorized list yet.
AmzEngine compares each observed seller against the authorized sellers you've recorded. Anyone new is labelled Unknown Seller or Potential Unauthorized Seller and placed in a review state — together with when they were first detected, their price, and whether the Buy Box changed.
You decide what happens next: mark them authorized, keep investigating, or ask for expert help.

Buy Box monitoring
Track important Buy Box status changes.
Most sales on a shared listing go through the Buy Box, so knowing when you lost it — and for how long — matters more than a single snapshot. AmzEngine records each status change with the previous status, the current status, when it was detected and how long it lasted.
How often the status is refreshed depends on the available data provider and your monitoring plan. Durations are measured between detections, so they reflect what AmzEngine observed rather than an exact to-the-second record.

Bring account-health attention signals into the same workspace.
Listing problems and account problems are often connected: a policy notice can suppress listings, and a listing complaint can affect account standing. Seeing both in one place makes it easier to spot the pattern.
Account-health information requires an authorized Amazon seller connection and depends on what Amazon's APIs make available. AmzEngine shows only the values it actually receives — anything unavailable is labelled as such, never estimated.

Custom alert rules
Decide what deserves your attention.
Rules combine conditions with the channels that should hear about them. A hero product might alert on any Buy Box loss; a long-tail product might only alert on a large price move.
De-duplication means the same unchanged condition won't alert you again and again. Cooldowns set a minimum gap between repeat alerts for the same rule and product, so a listing that flickers doesn't flood your phone.

What is Amazon listing monitoring?
Listing monitoring means regularly recording the visible state of a product listing — for example its title, price, sellers and Buy Box status — and comparing each new observation with the previous one. When something changes, you get a record of what changed and when, so you can decide whether it needs action.
What does AmzEngine monitor?
Depending on your plan, data source and connected account, AmzEngine can monitor listing content and status signals, Buy Box and offer changes, newly observed sellers, keyword positions you configure, and account-health signals available through an authorized Amazon connection. Fields that a data source doesn't provide are shown as unavailable rather than guessed.
Does an unknown seller mean my listing has been hijacked?
No. A new seller can be a legitimate reseller, a returned-stock liquidator, a distributor you forgot to add to your authorized list, or someone selling counterfeit or unauthorized goods. AmzEngine flags the change as an Unknown Seller or Potential Unauthorized Seller so you can investigate — it never decides that wrongdoing has happened.
How often does AmzEngine check listings?
Check frequency depends on the data provider, your monitoring plan and your connected account. AmzEngine does not advertise real-time detection; each alert shows when the change was detected so you always know how current the information is.
Can AmzEngine monitor Buy Box changes?
Yes, where the connected data source supports Buy Box and offer information. You'll see the previous and current status, when the change was detected and how long a status lasted.
Can AmzEngine monitor account health?
Account-health information requires an authorized Amazon seller connection and depends on what Amazon's APIs make available for your account. AmzEngine never fills gaps with invented values; if a metric isn't available, it's shown as unavailable.
Which notification channels are supported?
In-app notifications and email are available to every workspace. SMS, WhatsApp and Telegram delivery is available where it has been enabled for your workspace. You choose the channels per alert type, and quiet hours and cooldowns are respected.
Can I monitor multiple Amazon accounts?
Today each AmzEngine workspace connects one Amazon seller account and marketplace. If you manage several brands or clients, contact us about your setup before you subscribe.
Does AmzEngine automatically remove sellers?
No. AmzEngine monitors and alerts; it does not file complaints, change your listings or remove sellers on your behalf. Any action on Amazon is your decision, and Amazon makes the final decision on enforcement.
What happens if I need expert assistance?
From an alert you can start an Expert Service such as Hijacker / Unauthorized Seller Assistance. A specialist reviews your case, and documents, messages and status updates stay together in one case page. Outcomes are never guaranteed because Amazon makes the final decisions.
